Glitching Colour (independent) is out now!
Indie post-punk 4-piece Human Noise have built a strong reputation for writing music that is agitated, introspective, and wry. Injected with equal measures of angst and humour, their songs comment on both the self and society with acute awareness, often leaving the audience refocusing that lens back on themselves.
Their latest album, Glitching Colour, released in April 2024, was named Feature Album on 2SER, and marked an evolution in the band's sound. Written under the weight of isolation and change, the record fuses jagged polyrhythms, gritty synths, and restless energy with moments of warmth and vulnerability. Tracks like Weight on the Ground and Accumulation wrestle with unease, while Magnolia finds beauty in distance. Co-produced with Blain Cunneen (Julia Jacklin, Dominic Breen), the album was recorded in a lounge room on the NSW South Coast, embracing a DIY approach that infused it with raw immediacy.
Following its release, Human Noise toured the album across 12 shows along the East Coast, supported by Heaps Normal and Philter Brewing, further solidifying their reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling live acts.
